About the location
The residence of the resort’s founder, Prince Alexander of Oldenburg, built in the early 20th century on a slope above the bay. Art Nouveau with a lantern tower, tiled roofs and terraces; the half-abandoned interiors give a rare living texture for period and atmospheric scenes.

Old Gagra, uphill from Primorsky Park. Reachable by minibus; trucks unload lower down the slope.
